Network Cabling

Commercial & Office Cabling for Buildouts and Moves

Vulcan Telecom handles the complete network cabling for new office buildouts, tenant improvements, office relocations and expansions – coordinated with your general contractor so the network is ready on move-in day.

Commercial & Office Cabling – Vulcan Telecom, Birmingham, AL

Cabling that is ready when you move in

A buildout has one window when cabling is easy: after the walls are framed and before they are closed and the ceilings go in. We plan the drop locations with you and your contractor, run the cable during that window and finish the terminations, patch panels and testing before your furniture arrives. On move-in day, the phones and computers simply plug in.

For an office relocation we also look at what you are leaving behind – the phone system, the network rack and the equipment that has to move with you. Customers such as Banc Statement and Covenant Consulting Group have had Vulcan relocate their phones and network racks with no downtime on the phones.

Small businesses to multi-floor buildings

We cable everything from a five-person office to warehouses and multi-floor buildings. The approach is the same: a site visit, a clear drop plan, a written quote, a schedule that fits the construction, and documentation at the end. Because Vulcan also installs cloud phone systems and provides managed IT support, you can have one company responsible for the cabling, the phones and the network.

“I’ve used Vulcan Telecom for a large medical office telecom project. Large or small they are down to earth and easy to talk to. Keep everything in real terms. I’ve moved 300 miles away but Ive still consulted with Vulcan about issues I couldn’t get resolved by local vendors. Great service”

“Keith went above and beyond to help us troubleshoot a problem that wasn't even related to the telecom install. There are few business owners left who are willing to invest themselves in their customers. Vulcan is one of those companies. I highly recommend them.”

“Vulcan Telecom installed a hosted VOIP phone system for us back in the fall. We were very satisfied with the installation and the fact they finished it on the Friday after Thanksgiving where we would be ready for business on Monday.”

“I have worked with Vulcan Telecom on several issues over the years. Specifically when we moved into a new building the cable/networking guys were spot on. They worked very efficiently and were very courteous. I was very happy with the quality of work, craftsmanship and speed at which our building was cabled.”

“Vulcan installed a voip phone system in our new lake home after we discovered how bad our cell signal would be. Keith was so very helpful. He went above and beyond to help us get the system configured and up and running in no time at all. He's never to busy to answer a question. I would recommend them to anyone.”
